When you look at a tree, you feel its strength, stability, and its ability to channel energy between the sky and the earth. These are the same qualities we develop in the practice of Vrikshasana.
Tree Pose helps you find inner peace, strengthen resilience, and develop coordination. It teaches you not only to balance your body, but also to find balance within yourself.
Physical benefits include:
strengthening the muscles of the back, abdomen, legs, and arms
improving posture and blood circulation in the legs
stimulating the digestive system, liver, kidneys, and gallbladder by activating energy meridians that start at the toes
Regular practice (2โ3 minutes on each leg) will help you feel a connection with yourself and harmony with the world around you.
In this video, I demonstrate both simplified and more advanced variations of the pose, so you can choose the appropriate level and gradually deepen your practice.
